Who is eligible to apply?



Law students who are currently enrolled as a 2L at South Texas College of Law Houston, Thurgood Marshall School of Law or University of Houston Law Center.



** APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY 5:00 P.M. C.S.T. MARCH 25, 2026.

WE WILL BE UNABLE TO CONSIDER ANY LATE OR INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS **




Note: It is the responsibility of the applicant to see that the following items are forwarded to the Houston Bar Association Auxiliary Charitable Fund, Inc. in order to qualify for the scholarship:

 

  1. Completed Application
  2. Official Law School Transcripts
  3. Letters of Recommendation

Please list the names, addresses and telephone numbers of two (2) individuals who will be sending the Houston Bar Association Auxiliary Charitable Fund, Inc., letters of reference. At least one (1) letter of recommendation must be submitted from a law school dean or faculty member or another business/professional reference. All letters of recommendation must be received by the application deadline to be considered.


 

I hereby authorize the release of any academic, financial, or other related information maintained by the  Law School  listed above for purposes of determining scholarship eligibility for the above named scholarship. 

By entering my name below, I hereby certify that I am a citizen of the United States of America and a legal resident of the State of Texas. I further certify that the preceding statements are true. If material changes occur on any of the questions I have answered on this application, I will notify the Houston Bar Association Auxiliary Charitable Fund, Inc., immediately.
